- Novo Solutions Inc. has announced the release of their new software
update configuration tool. The
Novo Solutions “Config Tool” is used to configure core elements of
the Novo Customer Support Software (i.e. database connection, license,
etc.) and to update the software as well as the database.
Typical
software updates can be time consuming for vendors and users alike.
Many organizations compromise on functionality and choose to
decline upgrades because of the hassles involved with updating
databases, etc. It is Novo Solution’s goal to
make updating and upgrading their software a painless and even enjoyable
process. Now
within a single application, the Novo Config tool enables the server
administrator to perform nearly all Novo Solutions software
configuration.
Upon
installation,
the tool can install the Novo Solutions
software including database and related website configuration. For
updates, the tool will check for and apply updates, including updating
the database. An additional benefit
is that all the server related maintenance for the software is managed at
one location.
From
within the Novo Config Tool a server administrator can:
- Install
the Novo Solutions software
- Import
configuration data from previous Novo Solutions software
installations
- Check
for and apply software updates
- Receive
delivery of additional modules purchased
- Manage
Novo Solutions database connection
- Configure
crucial Novo Solutions settings for Mail, Active Directory, File
